Johnston Community College (JCC) and MCNC share a partnership spanning over two decades.
MCNC network fiber extends to a permanent installation on the JCC campus in Smithfield making JCC a key stakeholder in North Carolina’s high speed data network. The network services provided by MCNC also connect JCC’s satellite campuses in Four Oaks and Clayton.
MCNC fiber was recently added to provide a high speed network to the Advanced Manufacturing Training Facility in Four Oaks marking the completion of a 64,000 sq ft campus and a $40M investment in the community.
MCNC’s Vital Cyber team has added several security services to JCC’s network to protect students and staff from malware, identity theft and ransomware. These enhanced security services have been in operation at JCC for over a year.
